APEX Sports and Cliff Bar Present Nutrition to Winter Athletes

APEX Sports Dietition Lisa Money was on campus today to teach 103 PHS wrestlers, basketball players, and cheerleaders about properly fueling their bodies for optimal performance.  The session was sponsored by Cliff Bar in partnership with Panther Sports Medicine.  

Braziel, Tennis Singles Championship Postponed Again

The SCHSL singles tennis championship has been postponed again due to inclement weather. PHS athlete, Rebekkah Braziel, is participating.  There’s no  rescheduled date set yet. It’ll be after Thanksgiving.

Panthers Travel to Hanahan for 1st Round Play-off Match-up

The Panther football program will travel to Hanahan High School this evening for a 3A round 1 match-up with the Hawks. The Hawks are region champions with an undefeated record in region 8-AAA of 5-0 and boasting a 7-3 overall record. The Hawks are a tough group at home, going 5-1 while only 2-2 away

Braziel, State Tennis Singles Postponed

Pelion Tennis Player, Rebekkah Braziel, will have her State Singles match postponed due to weather. With the inclement weather projected for Monday in the Columbia area,  the Girls Tennis Singles State Championship is postponed to Wednesday, November 14th & 15th at the Cayce Tennis Center. Play will begin at 9:00 am.

Pelion Bass Team Finishes 2nd in Inaugural Tournament

Two teams from the Pelion High Bass Anglers competed in a fund raising tournament on Lake Murray on November 3rd, 2018.  The tournament was held by the University of South Carolina Bass Fishing Club.  Bryson Shumpert and Tyler Fairey placed second in the tournament finishing just a few ounces behind the tournament winner Batesburg-Leesville High.  

Braziel Selected to Play in State Championships

Congratulations to Sophomore Rebekka Braziel who has been selected to participate in the Girls Singles Championship on November 12th & 13th. Rebekka finished her tennis season this year winning 6 out of her 9 singles matches, playing against some very tough competitors — several of those Seniors in high school who are going on to play tennis in
