The Lady Panthers lost a tough game against Brookland-Cayce tonight at home. The girls got behind in the first set, but fought hard to close the gap with great teamwork and hustle. Unfortunately, it was not enough and the Lady Panthers lost the next 2 sets. Kaitlyn Dorroh, senior, was 100% on serving! This is her second game in a row at 100%. Madison Nicholson, junior, also was 100% on serving. Alisabeth Kneece, senior, had 3 kill blocks and 4 kills. McKenna Smith, junior, also had 4 kills, tying with Alisabeth Kneece to lead the the team.

The Lady Panthers lost a tough game on Thursday night against Batesburg-Leesville. After losing the first set by only 2 points, the Lady Panthers struggled in the second set to gain momentum. They rallied hard to pull it together and won the third set, but did not win the fourth. Kaitlyn Dorroh, Senior, lead the team with 100% serving and 5 aces! McKenna Smith, Junior, lead the team in aces with 7 and kills with 6. Madison Nicholson, Junior, lead the team in assists with 12.

Game Recap

The Lady Panthers opened the season tonight with a big win against King Academy! The team played hard and displayed excellent teamwork, hustle, and sportsmanship. Junior, McKenna Smith lead the team with 11 kills in the 3-set match. Madison Nicholson, also a junior, had 22 assists contributing to the win. Other notable stats include Macey McLaurin, senior, with 93% serving and Bri Davis (sophomore) following close behind with 92% serving.

Game Recap

Pelion opened up the 2017 campaign with a convincing 33-22 victory over Calhoun County at the Pelion High School field. The offense was led by junior running back Jeremiah Green with 306 yards on 22 carries and 4 touchdowns. The Panthers answered a CC score early in the 2nd half with a Green long touchdown run and the Panthers never looked back. The defense played solid all night limiting the Saints to 120 yards rushing. The Panthers return home next week against local rival Wagener-Salley for a 7:30 kickoff

In the battle of the Panthers, B-L came out on top 9-9 over Pelion. Pelion was lead by Ashlynn Kayton who went 3-3, and Ocean Bowers who went 2-3. The Panthers conclude their season tomorrow night at Gilbert. Prior to the game, seniors Bri Kayton and Destiny Chamberlain were recognized during the annual senior night activities.

Strom Thurmond defeated Pelion 13-0 in softball action Tuesday. Pelion will host Batesburg-Lesville on Thursday evening at 6:00. This will be senior night as the Panthers recognize two seniors: Destiney Chamberlain and Bri Kayton.
