Pelion Varsity baseball coach Barry Fogle has his Panther baseball team peaking at the right time in the 2019 3A baseball play-offs. With wins over Georgetown and Wade Hampton the Panthers are sitting in the cat-bird seat in terms of claiming a 2019 District Title and moving on to the 2019 3A lower state play-offs.
Coach Fogle, in the come from behind win over Wade Hampton, reached 300 wins at Pelion High School and is currently 18 away from 500 in his career that has seen stops at Allendale-Fairfax High School, Midland Valley High School, and Williston-Elko High School. Coach Fogle has been honored to coach the North-South All-Star Game multiple times as well as coach the Select All-Star Games multiple times held in Myrtle Beach.
Coach Fogle came to Pelion High School during the 2000-2001 school year and since then has seen tremendous success with the Panthers, including 16 play-off appearances, 5 region titles, and 6 region runner-ups. Coach Fogle is an active member in the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association and serves as the treasurer for the organization.
